By 2012, Conergy Australia will supply approximately 450 grid-connected home PV systems for residences in the Evermore Heights estate, south of Perth. The joint venture between the Satterley Property Group and LandCorp will be an estate featuring green designs and technologies to reduce household pollution. It will be Australia's first residential estate running entirely on solar energy, exclusively provided by Conergy.
"We are very pleased to be a part of this initiative," Rodger Meads, Managing Director of Conergy Australia said.
"Each system will be capable of generating 1, 642 kWh a year and saving 1,629 kg of CO2 each year. Thus, up to 667,890Kg of CO2 will be saved across the whole estate annually."
Each home PV system, comprising Conergy's solar modules, Suntop III mounting systems and inverters will contain a minimum 1 kWp PV array. Conergy solar hot water systems will also be offered to residents.
