So you would like to get started becoming a content parter for Green Pages. We look forward to getting to know you better!
Here are a few tutorial videos to help guide you through the process. It is very simple to sign up and we approve all organisations, both large and small, that meet the criteria of being an environmental advocacy group or institution working for the good of the planet.
Setting up your Account
Get Started! Content Partner Setup Tutorial from Katie Patrick on Vimeo.
Step 1: Become a Member
- Sign up for a standard member account from the green bar at the top right of the page on this website and click on ‘Sign up’.
- Fill in the fields on the right of the pop up screen. The username must be the name of the organisation applying for Content Partnership.
- Avoid using the social media login option on the left for when you are setting up a content partner account as it will store your personal details rather than the organisation’s details.
- Click Submit and you will receive your password immediately by email.
Step 2: Fill in your Profile
- Find your email with your password and login at the link provided or at www.thegreenpages.com.au/wp-admin You’ll see we are using word press as a content management system that you will login to with your username and password.
- Now that you are in to the member backend, click on ‘Profile’
- Fill in all of the details for your profile
Step 3: Email GP a request for Content Partnership
- Send an email to [email protected] titled ‘Content Partner Application’ with the name of your organisation, website and your username.
- You must include your username in this email so we can find your memberID.
- If you are eligible for a content partnership, we will upgrade your account setting to provide you with content partner access.
Step 4: You receive a confirmation email
- Once approved, we will send you an email containing terms & conditions.
- You need to reply to the email with the line ‘I accept these terms and conditions’.
- Once upgraded, your user settings will have access to the campaigns, news and events areas of the site.
Step 5: Login again
- You can now login again at www.thegreenpages.com.au/wp-admin and you will see you now have access to the back end of News, Events and NGO Campaigns.
- You may recognise the system we use as Word Press. It’s a great content management system and also manages membership, but it does allow quite a bit of creativity so we do need to follow some formatting rules.
- Now you are all set up to create your first post!
